Diving Amed – Discover the Beauty of Bali’s Pyramids Dive Site

Diving Amed

When it comes to scuba diving in Bali, the East coast is a true hidden gem. Amed, a peaceful fishing village lined with black sand beaches, is home to some of the island’s most captivating underwater experiences. And among them, one stands out for its beauty, structure, and marine life: the Pyramids Dive Site.

At Zero Gravity Diving Bali, we’ve taken countless divers and snorkelers here. And the feedback is always the same: “That was unforgettable.”

Amed – Calm Waters and Vibrant Life

Whether you’re a scuba diver or a snorkeler, Amed has something for everyone. It offers:
✅ Gentle conditions and great visibility
✅ A laid-back atmosphere and beautiful scenery
✅ Amazing marine life—without the crowds

It’s the perfect escape for divers looking for relaxation, color, and comfort both above and below the surface.

At the same reef in Amed, there are 2 dive sites with different depth. Deeper one from 15 – 25 m with Pyramids artificial reef and above the Pyramids there is shallower reef from 3 – 12m, with turtles and beautiful corals, for beginners and snorkelers.

Pyramids Dive Site – A Dive for Certified Divers Only

The Pyramids themselves sit at a depth of 15 to 25 meters, which makes this site suitable only for certified divers. These large, man-made concrete structures form an artificial reef that now supports an abundance of marine life.

Over time, the pyramids have been overtaken by soft corals, sponges, and thriving reef species. You’ll often find:
🐠 Schools of snapper and batfish weaving in and out.
🦈 Occasional reef sharks cruising in the distance.
🐙 Octopus, scorpionfish, and even frogfish hiding in plain sight.
🐢 And if you’re lucky—a turtle gliding between the structures.

It’s the perfect dive for intermediate and advanced divers looking to capture both the architecture of the reef and the wildlife that calls it home.

The Reef Above – Ideal for Beginners and Snorkeling with Turtles

Just above the Pyramids is a natural reef in shallower water, making it ideal for beginner divers and snorkelers. With depths ranging from 5 to 10 meters and easy beach access, it’s one of the best places in Bali to enjoy a relaxed underwater session.

And yes—turtles love this area.
It’s not uncommon to snorkel just a few meters from the surface and come face-to-face with a curious green sea turtle grazing on the reef.

This area is perfect for:
🐢 First-time snorkelers and kids
🎋 Beginner divers building confidence
